     André Renoux:

André Renoux, born May 7, 1939, in Oran (Algeria) and died in Paris on January 13, 2002 (at 62), is a French painter, engraver and lithographer.


He lived and worked in Paris for more than forty years. His works mainly represent Paris but also in London, Venice, New York, Boston and San Francisco; he painted the streets, the shops, the cafés, the courtyards, the old disappearing facades and the interiors of restaurants.

His father is a winegrower. In 1945, his family from Provence left Algeria to settle in the south of France.
André Renoux studied at Nice Decorative Arts and then at the École Supérieure des Arts Modernes in Paris.
In 1964, he married Hélène Bardi met at the Decorative Arts with whom he will have three daughters.

André Renoux makes his first exhibitions in Paris and then exhibits in Beirut (Lebanon), Rome (Italy), New York City (USA), Aubonne (Switzerland), Fort Lauderdale (USA), Marly-le-Roi, Kwaremont (Belgium) , Mad Manor in Metz, Cologne (Germany), Cannes, Minneapolis (USA), Palm Beach (USA), Bern (Switzerland), Nîmes, Geneva (Switzerland), Scottsdale (USA), Milan (Italy), Sidney (Australia) ), Chicago (USA), New Orleans (USA), Boston (USA), Miami (USA) 2.

André Renoux died on January 13, 2002, in Paris.

In October 2010, the city of Paris pays tribute to him by exhibiting some of his works at the Carnavalet museum.
