     Louis Desaulniers:

Born in Shawinigan in 1935, Louis Désaulniers is a reference to the field of arts in Canada in the teaching of color. He is the author of books that have inspired generations of students in visual arts throughout Quebec. Along with his teaching work, he participated in numerous exhibitions in Canada and Europe, not to mention the people of Mauricie. In 1993, he presented for example a flamboyant exhibition of the world of sport: "The color of hockey".

From 1980, Louis Désaulniers devoted himself exclusively to painting and his research on color. He will share this passion with several students in private workshops until his death in 2006. His works are part of important collections such as the Museum of Contemporary Art of Montreal, the National Museum of Fine Arts of Quebec, the Alcan Collection and the University of Montreal to name just a few.
