     Martin Gagnon (1931-2003) :
 

Birth May 10 1931, in Montréal. Self-taught. He attended the École des beaux-arts in the 50’s. He perfected his technique with painter Charles Harolds Boyes.

In 1976, Martin Gagnon left Montréal to settle in the Charlevoix region near Quebec City. The following year and in 1980, he exhibited at Art Français in Montreal. Other exhibitions followed at Galerie Charles-Huot in Québec City (1981), La Corniche in Chcoutimi (1982), Galerie Drummond in Drummondville (1985), and La Falaise in Sherbrooke (1986). He is listed in le Guide Vallée, 1989, p.279 and 1993, p.513.
