  Denis Archambault:

Denis Archambault, Lavaltrie, Québec

A few years after attending a training at the École des Beaux-Arts in Montreal, Denis Archambault became a painter, decided to open a gallery in Lavaltrie to have a storefront to sell his own paintings.

We are in 1977, a time when the public is very fond of works of art. In a short time, about twenty artists join the gallery and sales are excellent. The Gallery organizes 8 to 10 vernissages a year for a long period of time. For the owner, it is a lot of work and he chooses to put on the back burner his career as a painter to dedicate himself full time to the management of his business.

Denis Archambault has been developing his gallery for over 41 years. His studies in art and his personal production of hundreds of paintings have been very useful. During all these years, the gallery has quadrupled its area and has presented nearly 200 exhibitions including several themes.

The gallery offers a wide variety of works by emerging painters and an important collection of works by great masters such as MAFortin, JP Lemieux, Suzor Côté, Dallaire, Tanobe, Tex Lecor, JP Riopelle, Barbeau, Laliberté etc.

All these big names and several promising artists are exhibited for the pleasure of visitors and knowledgeable collectors.

After all these years of a gigantic work done with love, honesty and passion, Denis Archambault has earned various honors among others, a Promexel in Tourism, the medal of the Confederation of Canada in 1992 and in 2017 the medal of the National Assembly of Quebec received with a lot of emotions.
