     Graham Noble Norwell OSA (1901 – 1967):
Graham Noble Norwell was a painter born in Edinburgh, Scotland. In 1914 he moved to Montreal, Quebec, Canada with his parents and then shortly afterwards to Kingston, Ontario. He subsequently lived in Ottawa, Ontario; Montreal; and Val-David, Quebec (in the Laurentians about 50 miles north of Montreal) where he died in 1967.

His primary mediums were oil and watercolor. His subjects were landscapes, particularly rural Quebec. Can be viewed at: The National Gallery of Arts of Canada in Ottawa.   (O.S.A) Founded in 1872, the Ontario Society of Artists is Canada’s longest continuing art society.

Graham Noble Norwell était un peintre né à Édimbourg, en Écosse. En 1914, il déménage à Montréal, Québec, Canada avec ses parents, puis peu de temps après à Kingston, Ontario. Il a ensuite vécu à Ottawa, Ontario; Montréal; et Val-David, Québec (dans les Laurentides à environ 50 miles au nord de Montréal) où il est décédé en 1967.

Ses principaux médiums étaient l'huile et l'aquarelle. Ses sujets étaient des paysages, particulièrement le Québec rural. Peut être vu au: Musée des beaux-arts du Canada à Ottawa. (O.S.A) Fondée en 1872, l'Ontario Society of Artists est la plus ancienne société d'art au Canada.
